See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43:19
New Life Christian Community was born out of a seed God planted in the hearts of Wayne and Julie Hollett in February 1995. They began to pray daily for the unreached people groups of the world, and for the city of Fremantle. New Life Christian Community (NLCC) was born on Sunday 21st September, 1997. Initially all meetings were conducted in homes. On November 9th 1997, NLCC moved into the Princess May Theatre (Fremantle Education Centre) for Sunday Celebrations and then into John Curtin College in April 2000.
At its beginning New Life was comprised of 8 families, numbering 15 adults and 12 children/teenagers. These people were prophetic forerunners who were confident that God wanted to display Himself through a community where every person in that community is a whole-hearted lover of Jesus Christ. God has steadily nurtured and grown the community from the beginning, primarily within each of our hearts. Renewal is being imparted on a corporate level, with many people testifying to significant changes; the full surrendering of their lives, deeper healing and deliverance, and a greater awareness of God's love and grace. Numerical growth has followed as God has connected us to hungry and thirsty people, ready to drink from the river of His New Life.
God is helping New Life understand the specific assignment He has given - becoming whole-hearted lovers of Jesus Christ, longing to know and obey him in everything, preparing for His return to earth.
